2006 Pokemon World Championships Promo No. 2 Trainer PSA 9 MINT

Featured here is a chance at a likely once in a lifetime opportunity to own the Number 2 Trainer trophy card from the 2006 Pokemon World Championships held at the Hilton Anaheim hotel in Anaheim, California. Taking place from August 18th to 20th, this tournament featured three days of tournament play, including the first day which offered Trainers a final opportunity to qualify for the actual tournament if they went 6-0. The second day featured a full day matches of either seven or eight rounds of Swiss pairings depending on the participant's age division, and only the top 32 were invited to the third day single-elimination main tournament. To obtain this card you not only had to amass enough points to qualify to enter the tournament, and then go through all of this, but you had to have won your way to the finals in your division on the final day where one loss meant your tournament hopes were crushed Featuring the telltale holographic pattern from the EX-era of Pokemon cards, this card features a triumphant pose of a Pikachu holding a silver trophy, and is a simply stunning card to behold. The only copy of the card that is currently graded by PSA, and thought to be one of only 3 to have been given out, this is truly something that you will likely never see again, and would be well served as a cornerstone for any collection or investment portfolio. Comes with our highest recommendation, please see the video highlight for more details. One of over 26,000 cards, lots and sets up for bid in our February Auction of 2021.
